Organized by Citycare Social Services Organisation, “Affection in Assurance” SP-STANLEYQUEK went the extra mile for the poor and needy. On top of monetary donation, they also devoted time and energy to care for them.

Established in 2004, SP-STANLEYQUEK is an AIA Agency Office, which started out with a scanty team of one agency manager and two agents in 2004. The team has since grown to a dynamic group of one district manager, 14 fun-loving, closely-knit, rambunctious agents and two agency managers within a short span of three years. A force to be reckoned with in the insurance world, SP-STANLEY QUEK has achieved its success through sincerity, passion and integrity.

About Stanley

Looking much younger than his 32 years, Stanley has already been in the insurance business for nine years. Married for seven years to his beautiful wife, with whom he has a son and daughter, Stanley has achieved more in life than most men his age.

After spending his first two years after graduating from university in the logistics industry, Stanley decided that he needed to pursue a career, which gave him more purpose in life and more autonomy financially. A chance encounter with his insurance agent made him realise the importance of planning for the future and more importantly, finding someone who would walk that journey with him beyond the dollar sign.

Hence, in 1999, Stanley embarked on his career in insurance. With a passion for people and a natural financial savvy, Stanley saw himself receiving the Million Dollar Club award, a prestigious achievement within insurance circles, within two years. He continued to receive the award for the next three years and finally joined the Million Dollar Round Table in 2004, an award of international standards.

In 2004, he rose to the ranks of Agency Manager and almost immediately in 2005, he led his team to achieve the ‘Top Annual Premium Investment Linked Agency’ award. With another promotion in 2006 to District Manager, Stanley continues to lead his team with the same conviction and sincerity which first brought him into this industry.

He attributes his success to the simple concept of sincerity.

"The key to being successful in the business of insurance is making your client’s business your business. My team and myself would never recommend a policy or investment package, which wasn’t of good interest to a client. We perform all our dealings with integrity and a sincere passion in helping our clients achieve financial freedom."


Giving back

Never one to forget his roots, Stanley recalls his humble beginnings. Coming from a family that had barely enough, Stanley only managed to buy his first insurance policy when he started working. Hence, he always believes in paying it forward and giving back to society through SP-STANLEY QUEK.

"Through an independent charitable organisation, we provide free insurance to needy families, adopt orphans and organise visits to the elderly who live alone. My purpose in engaging in humanitarian works in two-pronged: Giving back to society and keeping my team compassionate and grounded. I want them to know that you can never be too rich or too successful to help those in need," added Stanley.

For SP-STANLEY QUEK, giving is more than just a company initiative, it is a lifestyle and an attitude that all the staff take to every single client they have.

"We once visited the home of a very elderly couple and they were so poor that when the light bulb in their one-room flat blew, they lived in darkness for a month until we turned up for a visit. In fact the old man was so senile that he called his wife ‘mother’. While it was really heartwrenching, it also made me see that we really needed to have bigger hearts and be more giving," said Stacia Chew tearily, one of the insurance agents in Stanley’s team.

Stanley put it very succinctly, "My reason for doing this is very simple – only when my staff and I make the effort for people who cannot afford to pay us for what we do for them, will we go the extra mile for our clients. It’s all in having the right attitude, being honest and doing the right thing."
